I started babysitting at 12 years old and volunteered and taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school. I have run a children's play musical at our church. In highschool during the summers I would work as a camp counselor for grad school. After I graduated I worked as a preschool teacher in Dundee at the GoodLife preschool, from there I went to work at the YMCA in child watch working with kids from infants to school age. I have been the lead teacher for the 1-3-year-olds at Cadence Academy in Sherwood for about 3 years and am currently still working here.

We have had the pleasure of knowing Emy for 4+ years. First through daycare and then as our nanny for the past two years. Emy is a rock star. Through that super turbulent time Emy bought stability, love, comfort and peace to our home. Our boys thrived. Emy managed online learning for our eldest, kept our youngest entertained learning his numbers, colors and letters. Prepped their meals, assisted with potty training and soccer skills! Emy is always reliable, respectful, dependable, full of energy, generous spirit and a wonderful person to be around, bringing a sense of peace to our home. We recently made the tough decision to put our youngest in preschool to begin his socialization post Covid. We would love to have Emy watching our boys forever, and while we always knew this day would come, we are very sad. Emy will forever be a part of our family.
