Hi! My name is Emily, and I'm a certified elementary teacher in Red Oak ISD with 7 years of classroom experience teaching both 2nd and 4th grade. I'm looking for a part-time summer position in tutoring, nannying, or a combination of both! I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce and extensive experience working with children from 6 months to 13 years old. As a teacher, I specialize in helping children grow academically while also building confidence and independence. I also love incorporating crafts, games, reading, outdoor play, music, and creative activities into daily routines. I am CPR certified, fingerprinted, and background checked. I truly love working with kids and creating a safe, positive, and encouraging environment where they feel supported and cared for. I would love the opportunity to work with your family this summer!

If we hadn't moved across the country, Emily would still be our Nanny! I tried really hard to get her to move with us ;) but I guess some other lucky family will have to have a turn! Emily is dependable, flexible, helpful, and always goes above and beyond for the kiddos. She dove right in with my 9 month old and 6 year old. She showed up on day one with a coloring "get to know you" book for my daughter and her to do. She loved on my little babe so much, and sent me tons of pictures and updates during the day. She came last minute when we needed emergency help, came prepared with movies and snacks for the kiddos on date nights, and even came to my daughter's school and sport events, when it wasn't "work" hours. She helped me around the house when my husband was out of town, and came to help when the kids were sick. My daughter has food allergies and she had them memorized and was working around them right away. I never worried about the kids when Emily had them. Trips to the library, park, grocery stores...she made everything fun! My daughter raved and always begged for more time with her. And so did I! I highly, highly recommend Emily. You couldn't ask for a better nanny. I'm so glad we had her as long as we did, and really wish she'd move to Boston so we could hire her again!
