I've cared for children ages infant to 12. I was an elementary school teacher for 15 years and hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Reading and Literacy. (I'm in Asheville for the next 4 years pursuing my doctorate in Chinese Medicine.) I enjoy children and can find a balance between being playful and engaging, while offering positive behavior management with a focus on intrinsic motivation. I'm interested in work that is a little more flexible and can accommodate studying and a few trips per semester. I'm happy to do date nights and/or fill in for your full time nanny when they need time off. I look forward to sharing fun and educational experiences with your children!

Emeline is a talented educator who has a gift for building relationships with children that foster both personal and educational growth. Her positive attitude and fun loving spirit are contagious.Her calm demeanor and unending patience help children feel safe and loved. She truly loves to play games and enjoy the many outdoor opportunities available in Richmond.She possess a wealth of knowledge and experience about early childhood as well as elementary school education. Her greatest assets as a tutor or babysitter is her ability to help children identify their strengths, set goals, reflect and grow a positive self imagine. I highly recommend Emeline.
