Hi! My name is Emanuela, & I'm & a 9th & 10th grade English teacher and department head. I've been a teacher for 8 years now, but I am highly considering transitioning into a full-time nanny. I've always had a heart for working with children & teens. Growing up, I worked closely with one family for years & loved watching their 2 girls grow up. I helped with homework, transportation, errands, games, crafts, light cooking and cleaning, overnights (in a row), & pet care. Those two girls have turned into my little sisters. I have experience with children who have Down syndrome & diabetes, as I babysit for both boys on an occasional basis. In the past, I nannied a kindergartener 3-4 times a week for one full school year; I handled school pickup, dinner, homework, playtime, & bedtime routines. And each summer, I work at a 3-week camp with students in grades 5-8, so I'm comfortable with all ages & personalities. I'd treat your children like my own & provide the best care for your family!

Emanuela was great! We instantly connected before we even met duing our phone conversation. It was my husband's birthday and we just needed a date night to celebrate. Finding care for our son, Jacob, is challenging to say the least because he has Down syndrome and type 1 diabetes, and a few obnoxious behaviors that are typical for a 12 year old boy. Emanuela was a trooper. With liitle prior knowledge of type 1 diabetes, we showed her how to use Jacob's insulin pump/ monitor. She asked many questions so that she wouldn't interrupt us on our date. We told Emanuela she could contact us if she had any questions/concerns. When we got home, Jacob instructed us to go out again because he wanted Emanuela to stay longer! We were impressed with her willingness to learn how to use the pump and handle Jacob's special needs. We look forward to a long term relationship and many more date nights.
