I have a huge family, with about 40+ first cousins. This allowed me to start babysitting at a young age. I graduated from UNM with a degree in speech & hearing sciences where I took several courses learning about child development along with disabilities. I was immersed in the elementary school setting for some of my courses which allowed me to work directly with children. I currently am on the path to becoming a nurse after having a change of heart. Being around children brings me so much joy and their total presence in the moment is a good reminder of how I am striving to live my life.
