About Elsie

Hello! My name is Elsie and I just received my Master's in School Counseling this year, 2023. I will be a high school counselor this upcoming year. I've had previous experience as a babysitter for toddlers, ages 0 to 2, and a teenager with Special needs. I taught English to a 7-month child in Spain and taught Spanish to a 2-year-old girl in a Chicago Suburb. All were taught through play. Additionally, I tutored many students during my undergrad and continued this during my teaching abroad in Spain. Prior to all this experience, I've been a camp counselor, tutor, mentor, and teacher's assistant at an elementary school. My passion is working with children/adolescents, as to why I pursued a career in school counseling. Not only do I enjoy working with children/adolescents, but being around animals.
