About Ellis

Hello! My name is Ellis and I have a history of taking care of children of multiple ages in multiple environments. I have been a summer camp instructor where I have taught science classes to 15+ children that ranged in age from 6 to 12. I have been a center based aide for 1-3-year-olds with developmental disabilities. During this time I instructed toddlers using ABA therapy techniques. I also have lots of experience babysitting multiple children at a time. I love working with kids and love helping them learn in fun and creative ways. I have also taken developmental psychology classes and have helped a developmental psychologist conduct research. I am also very comfortable with pets. I like tutoring because I like helping children learn in a constructive environment. I loved learning when I was a kid but grew up in a very strict environment where children were treated as miniature adults. I want to help children learn to love education and not feel ashamed when they make mistakes.
