Hello! Thank you for considering me in your search for childcare. I've had many years of experience working with kids. I started babysitting when I was a teenager for local families, and have been a professional babysitter for the past six years. I have the most experience babysitting kiddos aged 0-6 years old; however, I have worked with and feel comfortable watching older children and young teenagers. Much of my childcare training and knowledge came from working as a camp counselor at the Chicago Botanic Gardens for five summers. My job was to help organize, prepare and lead science, nature, art, ecology, and cooking camp classes for 2-12-year-olds. I was also the Before and After Care attendant for two years, watching a group of up to 8 kids for additional hours before and after camp. During my time at the Chicago Botanic Gardens, I also gained experience working with children with special needs including kids on the autism spectrum, and cerebral palsy.

Ellie has been our babysitter for more than a year now. As another review said, it is refreshing to find someone who is always on time, has excellent communication skills, is responsible and takes their "job" serious. Ellie is wonderful with our 2 daughters and feels confident handling our very sensitive and explosive 6 year old. She takes our girls to the park, walks or does bike tours through the neighborhood, they do crafts or whatever the girls are in the mood for. She takes initiative and has no problem following directions. She has always been great about communicating her availability. She has a positive attitude and is very calm. We are happy to have her!
