About Ellen

I am a former middle and high school Special Education Teacher. After spending three years in the classroom, I left teaching to pursue a masters program in Speech Language Pathology. I graduated in the summer of 2022 and now work full time as an SLP in a specialized school setting. Within my masters program, I was trained to support individuals with reading and writing difficulties, particularly individuals with Dyslexia. I created and implemented research based, structured reading and writing intervention that facilitated literacy growth for elementary and middle school aged students with language based differences. My experiences in the classroom and within various clinical settings has fostered a passion for creatively approaching individualized instruction that capitalizes on student's strengths. I focus on integrating individual's interests into educational materials to build motivation and confidence within academic content.
