My passion for working with youth has been shaped by my experience working in outdoor and experiential education. I believe deeply in the power of play, and that providing safe environments for youth to make mistakes and get back up again is critical in building strong, resilient and creative kids. My work with children has primarily been based around outdoor activities. I am a former sailing instructor and ski instructor and love getting kids of all ages outside. I also have a passion for early childhood education and love working with young children to have developmentally appropriate fun! Currently I am the AfterCare Coordinator for an independent school in Portland, ME. I work with youth age 3-14, manage AfterCare staff hiring and schedules and ensure a safe and fun environment for over 80 students at the school. I am a member of the National Ski Patrol and hold a current Outdoor Emergency Care certification (roughly equivalent to EMT) and hold a CPR certification.
