About Elizabeth

Hello. I have many years of senior care. The first years beginning with my mother who had the beginnings of Alzheimer's at 72. Our family of 5 moved next door and cared for her till she was 80 and had to be taken to a home. In 2010 I entered the caregiver profession. Since then I have cared for the elderly with dementia, stroke, heart disease, Parkinson's, Aphasia, and depression. I have performed duties such as cooking, feeding, dressing, bathing, changing catheter, assisting to and from bathroom, cleaning, exercising, and medication. Caring for out parents and loved ones can be very stressful, especially when we're trying to handle all the other responsibilities and burdens in life, both emotional and financial. They need not only physical and mental assistance but also emotional support. I strive to give them this support by listening, encouraging, sharing, laughing and love. This is what assures them they are valued and respected.
