About Elizabeth

I am knowledgeable in Orton Gillingham methods and am currently completing my certification in Orton Gillingham. I have experience working with pre-K through college age students. I have tutored 1-1 and in groups in reading, math, phonics, study skills, and writing over the last year and a half. My degree is in educational studies where I specialized in elementary education. I'd describe my personality as friendly, dependable, and caring. I like tutoring because it is a joy to help build students' confidence and skill set. There is nothing like watching a student have a light bulb moment where they finally understand a concept or to see them begin to believe in themselves and their abilities! I'm looking for a job that allows me to complete my Orton Gillingham certification. I am looking to tutor students who have dyslexia or who have a need for Orton Gillingham tutoring. I am looking for students who are in K-2 grades to work on building phonics skills.
