I would be delighted to help your child with prerequisite Kindergarten phonemic awareness, reading and writing skills to prepare him/her for a successful Kindergarten year. If your child is currently in Kindergarten and in need of extra reinforcement of skills, I would be happy to work with him/her to increase confidence and achieve mastery. I have had the pleasure of teaching K-3 students in both public and private school settings for more than 20 years. My passion is teaching Kindergarten age children to read and write! I teach phonics, phonological skills, sight words, reading strategies and comprehension skills in conjunction with teaching penmanship, using proper letter formation, and providing instruction to develop creative writing skills. Using a systematic, repetitive, multi sensory and fun approach to instruction, I engage students and instill an excitement and enjoyment for learning!
