About Elizabeth

Hi there! My name is Elizabeth, and I have over 6 years of experience working in education. I have taught in a variety of contexts, from SAT and ACT test prep to early elementary literacy. I am currently employed as a resource teacher at a private school in Piedmont, where I support struggling K-5 students in all content areas (math, ELA, social studies, you name it!). As for my own education, I graduated from UCLA in 2016 with my BA in French literature and will be earning my MA in English literature from SFSU this year. I have also earned my certification in the teaching of post-secondary reading and composition-I'm just as comfortable working with adults as I am working with kindergarteners. My experience working with students of all ages gives me a "bird's eye" perspective when it comes to their educational development. I am able to offer effective, engaging support, no matter where your child is in their academic journey. I also do it with a smile!
