About Elizabeth

My name is Lizzie I'm a mom of a 7m old boy. I have finished two years into my early childhood education & development degree. I have worked in childcare with children as young as six weeks and as old as four. I have worked as a teaching assistant, & substitute teacher for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade. I have done in home childcare for the 3 years. I am CPR/first-aid, water safety certified. I love sensory activities, I also like to teach like colors, shapes, writing etc. however I think there is an importance of learning about the treat people and our earth with kindness, figuring out our emotions and how we can handle them in a healthy way. My teaching style is a bit different because I am a very empathetic teacher. I don't push children to act a certain way, I think explaining why we say no, explaining what we are doing is very important. I believe that letting children feel their emotions and having adults that can help explain those emotions is very important.
