About Elizabeth

One of my first jobs out of high school was 24 hour respite care for a woman suffering from Alzheimer's. Over the years I've taken care or people of varying ages, assisting the elderly with household maintenance, transportation to appointments, etc. In the last month of my mother's life I was involved as a primary care giver. I helped with her feeding tube, taking her to and from the bathroom, took her for walks in her chair, and assisted her CNA in bathing her. It's important while assisting people to allow them their dignity by giving them us much choice as possible and maintaining respect for their space and person.
