I'd describe my personality as caring, loyal, helpful, nurturing, responsible, independent and loving. I like working with kids because I love to see kids grow and prosper. During my last occupation of working with kids with ASD, I received so much joy in seeing those kids progress. There was a kid who was Non-verbal and with consistency he was able to sporadically tell me "I want" followed by a pointing gesture to communicate his needs. I was so elated over this huge mild-stone that I had witnessed that my dedication for helping kids through transitional learning grew 10 times more! I'm looking for a job that will allow me to use the skills the I have obtained. I am easy going but firm when I need to be. I've learned the priority of being open minded with the different ways to respond and help kids. I love being able to guide them in discovering new things about themselves and mastering things they were skeptical of.

So thankful to have met Elissa. It was an instant connection for her and my son. My son is special needs. I am always hesitant introducing him to new people. Elissa is soft spoken, gentle, patient, understanding and not easily rattled by the complexities of caring for a nonverbal child. Her professional experience really shines with her verbiage and body movements when working with my son. He immediately liked her and even offered a hug upon his second encounter with her. I also felt at ease with her. Absolutely will be working with her for future childcare needs. I would recommend her to anyone in search of a punctual, reasonable, easy going, and safe childcare provider.
