I initially met Elena over the phone and was impressed by her qualifications and bilingual skills. We agreed on a rate of $18/hour, and she was set to start caregiving on the 26th. However, at 1:30 AM the day before, she texted, raising her rate to $20, which I found unprofessional. Despite confirming her schedule, she didn’t show up on the first day, claiming she forgot. I decided not to move forward due to her lack of reliability and sudden rate change.
