About Eleanor

I like caring for seniors because they are without a doubt some of the most honest, hilarious, well rounded people you could meet. Albeit stubborn from time to time, but they've made it this far in life so they're doing something right! I love the feeling of creating the perfect makeshift solution for problems like bending a hanger into a "shirt buttoner", which is hard to do with shaky hands, or sewing a sound proof satin bonnet for a client who would have of back pain after standing in the mirror fixing her hair (the soundproof-ing was to block out a snoring husband). It is so satisfying to help them regain their independence As I'm schooling, I'll be needing a little bit of schedule flexibility. I'll gladly move classes around, but at the end of the day I want my nursing degree so I can do this full time. (: My areas of specialty are working with those with dementia, those with Parkinson's/Cerebral Palsy, nonverbal clients or those blind or deaf (I'm currently learning ASL), etc
