About Elana

Hi, my name is Elana and I am a sophomore at the University of Tennessee. I am home for the summer from school and looking to provide care for families in need. This past school year, I have worked at a rehabilitation hospital in Knoxville as a CNA. Throughout all of high school, I worked at a nursing home as both a private duty caregiver and CNA (I am certified as a CNA). I was a caregiver once a week for an elderly woman with dementia during my senior year of high school, and thoroughly enjoyed spending my Saturdays with this woman, during which I would cook for her and help with ADL's. I have volunteer experience in hospice services as well. I am passionate about matters such as Alzheimers research and the dignity of the elderly in general. I find genuine joy in giving the elderly community the care and respect that they so deserve but are often not given. In all, have 4 years of experience. I can help with Transportation Services and Bathing/Dressing.
