About Dottie

Hi, I'm Dottie! I am a sophomore at App State. My major is Recreation Management with a concentration in Outdoor Experiential Education and a minor in Spanish. I have been babysitting since middle school; I absolutely love it! I have worked as a freelance babysitter, I have worked in the nursery at my church, I have been a part-time nanny, and I am also a camp counselor. I have been a lifeguard for 3 years as well as being first aid and CPR certified. I have worked with all age groups but I have the most experience with toddlers and early elementary age. I think it's so fun to hang out with kids and be imaginative and creative and silly. I love to play outside with the kids I take care of; reading, building forts, playing pretend, and telling stories are also some favs. I am prompt, responsible, and communicative. Working with kids is what I want to do for the rest of my life, and while I have plenty of experience already, I would love to have a job I love while I'm still in college!
