About Dorothy

I am an experienced babysitter and child care provider looking for part time or full time summer work, with potential to continue on in the fall. I work at an after-school in lower Manhattan during the school year, primarily with K-1 aged children (ranges from 4yr-7yr). I am a graduate student at Hunter College for Early Childhood Special Education Severe/Multiple Disabilities. I love all children -- the quirkier the better! I am a very warm, caring, lively person who believes strongly in meeting children where they need to be met. If you are looking for a tutor, a nanny or a once a week babysitting I am happy to be that. I have been a babysitter to a vast number of ages for the past 10 years in almost all of the boroughs. I am a born and raised New Yorker so the city is extremely accessible and a tool that I like to utilize in my work -- especially for summer activities!
