About Dorothy

I have 13 years of experience as an Instructional Assistant in the local public school system, 30 years experience as a mom, and two more years as a grandmother. I grew up on the mainline, and I currently support students in AS and LS programs in the general education and AS/LS classrooms during the regular school year as well as for our summer school programs. I love what I do, and I love making connections with our students, helping them to build their own connections as it relates to our/their world, while having fun, and learning. I love being outdoors, am active, and love a good discussion. I have also worked with the elderly while in high school and college (Waverly Heights, and Beaumont), and consider myself quite capable in the pet care department as well. I currently reside in Havertown, PA with my husband of 25 years, our dog, and 4 cats. I have my clearances and first aid/CPR certifications. We renew/refresh these certs every year through our school district.
