Hello. My name is Dorothy, I am very interested in being your nanny. I am a very fun and energetic person and a mother of three children of my own. I am a former child care provider that has experience working with children between the ages of 8 weeks up to 8 years old. I worked as a child care provider for 9 years and I am up to date with all my child care training. I am CPR and first-aid certified. I have reliable transportation with a clean driving record. I love to engage children in indoor and outdoor activities such as but not limited too: reading, listening and singing along to music, circle time, arts and crafts/drawing and painting, going to the park, taking walks, going to the pool and library. I had the opportunity to work with a child who had a speech delay and with my early intervention and in conjunction with the family the child's speech has greatly improved and is now able to speak. I strongly believe in communication and I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Ms. Dorothy has been an absolute blessing to our family. She started caring for my son when he was just 3 months old (March 2024) and worked with us part-time for over a year through Summer 2025. Even now, we still rely on her occasionally for evenings and weekends when daycare isn’t an option. From the very beginning, Ms. Dorothy cared for my son as if he were her own. She is incredibly attentive, nurturing, and detail-oriented. She handled all aspects of his care with so much love—from gently waking him up, bathing him, applying lotion, combing his hair, brushing his teeth, preparing his milk and meals, to making sure he was always clean, comfortable, and happy. She also made sure he stayed engaged and stimulated throughout the day. She would take him on walks, to the park, and spend time teaching him his alphabet, numbers, and colors, along with singing songs and interactive play. One thing that really stood out to me is how she communicated with him—she spoke to him clearly and intentionally (not using “baby talk”), which truly helped with his speech and understanding. He is speaking beyond his age, and I genuinely credit Ms. Dorothy for playing a big role in that. Another thing I deeply appreciated is that she prioritized active, intentional care over screen time. Even though we gave her the option to use TV, she chose not to rely on it. Instead, she focused on reading to him, playing with him, and helping him explore and understand the world around him, which meant so much to us. As a first-time mom, Ms. Dorothy was also a huge support to me. She offered helpful input when needed, respected our parenting preferences, and was always willing to follow our lead on how we wanted to raise our child. That level of trust, communication, and partnership meant everything to me. Ms. Dorothy is reliable, kind, and truly passionate about what she does. She became like family to us, and I am so grateful for the love and care she has shown my son. Any family would be lucky to have her. When we have another child, she will absolutely be one of the first people I reach out to if she is available. I cannot recommend her enough.
