Good afternoon, My name is Dorothea (Doris). I'm 59 years old. I have over 20 years experience caring for my disabled sister. My sister was diagnosed with mental illness at the age of 16. Once she moved into her own apartment at age 40, I became her caretaker. I monitored and filled her prescriptions, helped in cleaning, did grocery shopping, took her to and from doctor visits. My sister was my best friend. We had a loving bond that was like no other. My sister passed away 2 years ago. I miss her tremendously and will never forget all the special times we had together. My sister had a hard life with no mental illness, however she laughed everyday and had a smile that could light up a room. I know God gave me my sister Ann to under empathy, love and patience. I know one day I will meet her again in Heaven. God bless
