About Dorothea

As a retired elementary Florida certified teacher with over 30 years experience, I have taught all grades ffom 1- 5, with most of my years in grades 3 - 5, I currently hold certification in elementary and early childhood education, as well as middle school math education. My certification also includes gifted, reading, and ESOL endorsements. For about half of my career, I taught general education elementary classes. During the latter part, I worked mostly with students in a full-time gifted program. I believe all children can learn and grow from experiences tailored to their individual needs, and I strive to make learning fun and meaningful for students.
