About Donna

Hello! I have worked as an elementary school teacher for 17 years. Now I want to transition to a position working with an individual or small group of children. I feel that the best learning occurs when I can work one-on-one with children. That way I can focus on their interests and talents, strengths and weaknesses. I think students need to have a strong foundation on the basics, as well as lots of opportunities for creativity and FUN. I am organized, patient, calm, and caring, and I am willing to work hard every day! Last year I took time off of teaching to be a nanny. I worked full time watching and playing with a 5-year-old girl, and caring for her baby sister. I loved being a nanny, and I definitely prefer working with one family in their home over being in the classroom environment.
