I provided care for my father from 2004 to 2009 until he passed. I am not a certified nursing assistant, however I performed most of the duties of one. He became completely bed ridden. I changed his Depends, used a hover left to help him spend time in his wheel chair and assisted him in eating. I also managed his medications. I was his total caregiver.
