About Diane

We have had the pleasure of knowing Diane for a little over a year and a half. She is responsible for taking care of our two children, who are currently 3 & 6, full-time while my husband and I are at work. Diane not only looks out for their well-being, but keeps them engaged with games and activities, fosters an environment for learning, reinforces developmental skills and introduces a lot of fun into their days. Diane has a very natural way of interacting with children. She understands them and they respond to her. My kids respect her and love her. She takes her parental cues from us, but also brings many ideas to the table, helping us work through a variety of things including thumb sucking, potty training, and behavioral issues. She also encourages learning through games, structured learning and "teachable moments" in everyday life. Diane has tremendous patience and a great sense of humor about the chaos that accompanies raising children. She takes things in stride and always keeps her composure. She has a special set of skills and has definitely found her calling working with children. She reinforces routines, but can also be flexible as is necessary when dealing with children and families. Diane communicates well with us through real-time updates, daily notes, lists and more in-depth conversations as needed. Our children have food allergies and she takes great care to ensure their safety. I am never worried when our children are in Diane's care. She treats them with the love and attention of a parent and through those interactions has truly become an extension of us and a true part of our family. We consider ourselves so lucky to have had Diane join our lives and family.
