DD has been our nanny for 5 years. She watched both of our kids from infancy (3-6 months) to preschool age (3 years old), and we couldn't be happier. The kids adore her, and both have thrived under her care. We did a nanny share with both kids, which worked well.  

Diana (DD) is the current nanny for my 2yo daughter, and previously the nanny for my 5yo son. DD is easily one of the kindest, most thoughtful people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing and a great part of why my children are such wonderful kiddos. At every step of the way, my children and myself have learned so much from DD. She was the person that impressed upon me how much my children understand at even the youngest ages. My children express equal warmth towards her as she towards them - And to this day, my son will express immense delight at knowing I will be taking him with me to pick up my daughter from DD. She has gone the extra mile when our family schedules were challenging, is always forthright and honest with my children and me, and wholly and entirely dependable in every possible way. 

My children are better persons by virtue of being cared for by DD.

I cannot say enough about Diana (DD). She began taking care of our daughter at 14 months old - the first (and only, so far) caregiver we have had for her. DD just knows children. And not only does she know them, but she respects them as unique, fully complete individuals. She shows this respect in how she talks to and cares for them, but more importantly in how she "listens" to them. DD is able to listen to and understand even nonverbal children because she observes carefully, gets to know each child, and knows how to read all the many ways that young children communicate. DD has an amazing ability to create full, fun and active days for our daughter without ever seeming frantic or hurried. Our daughter began coloring, sitting in a chair at a toddler size table, and climbing stairs all with the easy, unhurried support of DD. DD has also been an incredible resource for us as parents when we have had worries or questions (e.g., about weight gain, nutrition, diaper rash..). She is a gift!

She is absolutely wonderful with children. She is very attentive and enjoys spending time with them. Diane is always taking the children in her care on all sorts of activities and is kind and engaging.

Diana is upbeat and thoughtful and plans interesting activities and outings each day for children in the nanny share. With more than 15 years experience, she is great at developing interests in art through simple crafts and nature by patiently walking with kids outside. She helps kids learn to play with others and manage their emotions. She cooks nutritious snacks and leads trips to Smithsonian museums, the zoo, the Building museum, the cherry blossoms, and the botanic garden, as well as local parks. DD is also a great communicator who writes daily reports on how the kids did, sends daily pictures, and welcomes regular conversations with parents. Her kind and social nature allows her to easily make friends with other nannies and parents, which allows for lots of play dates to help kids socialize with each other. A former nun, she is also very patient and understanding and a great influence on children. She is a fantastic person and caregiver and I give her my highest recommendation!

Diana had an infant son just 8 days younger than my son, and she brought him along every day. It really was a win-win situation, and Diana handled everything beautifully. She was always prompt, energetic, creative, engaging and thoughtful. She cooked healthy meals and snacks from scratch. She was great about finding out about nearby activities at rec centers or parks or the library, etc. She forged friendships with other neighborhood nannies so the kids could get together in informal playgroups. She was such a valuable part of our family that I wish she could have worked for us forever, but we let her go simply because our son started full-time preschool. Diana was my son's nanny for about three years, and she is simply outstanding in every way.  In particular, Diana mentors and educates the children for whom she cares with extensive exposure to nature, play, language, and kindness.  I recommend her wholeheartedly.

Diana cared for our son from age 3 months to 2 years. We were part of a three family nanny share. At the start of the nanny share the children were 3 months, 5 months, and 16 months old. Diana was an excellent caregiver. The children thrived in her care. She was engaging, warm, creative, loving, and present. She took all three for walks (sun, rain, or snow) to the park and occasionally ventured out to museums. She played with them, cooked meals for lunch and prepared snacks, did crafts, read books, and sang all with a smile. We had one hundred percent trust in her and considered her family. Our almost 2 year old has been in a nanny share with Diana (DD) since she was 3 months old.  DD is a highly professional nanny.  She is full of creative ideas for teaching children using the world around them.  She often organizes events for other local nannies to participate in such as nature walks, holiday celebrations, and outings to parks and museums.  She organizes play dates and knows about all of the kid friendly local happenings.  More importantly, DD takes a lot of time studying and getting to know her children.  She is calm and patient and works very hard to help children grow to be their best possible selves. We have absolute peace of mind when our little one is with DD and would highly recommend her as a nanny!
