About Dewey

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, positive and funny! I like working with kids because it brings me so much joy to be a part of a child's growth and learning! They teach me so much! I'm looking to work for a family that feels comfortable, friendly and open. Being able to openly communicate, trust and learn from each other is the best for us and the children! I started working with kids when I was about 15 years old. I feel like I have a natural gift for caring for children. In my spare time, I like to create art, go to concerts, swim at the beach, and climb trees! One thing you should know about me is I will only be in Arcata for June and July. My skills include communication skills that benefit the children and make them feel seen and heard while also being able to help them learn valuable lessons, my love for art and the outdoors and using those passions to create fun activities, and my active imagination helps me connect with children and have lots of fun.
