She has cared for our son since he was just 4 weeks old and has been with us for five years, supporting him through every stage of development from infancy through preschool. She is kind, patient, dependable, and extremely experienced in childcare. Detra was always flexible with our schedule, and consistently went above and beyond to keep our son engaged and happy. She plans daily outings and age appropriate activities, participates in nanny groups for socialization, and truly invests in the children she cares for. Living near HMD, she regularly took advantage of educational and fun opportunities around the city. Her focus has always been fully on our child, his care, routines, activities, and needs, and she treated him as if he were her own. Over the years, Detra has truly become part of our family, and our transition away from a full time nanny is purely due to changes in our family’s needs. We are incredibly grateful for Detra and cannot recommend her highly enough. Any family would be lucky to have her.
