About Destiny

I am not one to do reviews, but hopefully this can help someone else. Disappointing does not begin to describe my experience with Destiny. She was hired to help with my Special Needs daughter. After a video interview, an in-person interview and then a "trial day" to determine (for both of us) if this would work, we agreed on her start date. The morning of her start day - in fact less than 20 minutes before she was scheduled to arrive, she sends a text saying she forgot to put her clothes in the dryer the night before and was waiting for them to dry... and asked if she could come a little later in the day or the next day. I responded and asked if she could still come that same day since I had taken the time to prepare my daughter for her visit and she was also excited about seeing her again after their first interaction. She agreed to come later that day and even presented her preferred time to come, and I agreed. Well TWO minutes before she was supposed to come, she sent another text apologizing that she wasn't going to be able to come - again! This time she asked if she could come next Tuesday on the following week and offered to do "half off" her hourly charge. However she also added that she could also come the next day if we didn't want to wait until Tuesday. By this point, my daughter was very sad, so I asked if she was sure she would be able to come the next day. She assured me she would be. I did also let her know that consistency and reliability are extremely important when working with Special Needs individuals as they rely upon a routine. She said she understood and would see us the next day as promised. Welp - you guessed it! Not only did she not come, this time she didn't even bother sending a text. I called and left a message and also sent a text inquiring whether she was coming - NO RESPONSE. We were effectively and completely GHOSTED! Just really disappointing - not only the lack of professionalism, but my daughter is negatively affected as well and keeps asking when is she coming back over. Wow, just wow.
