Hi! My nickname is Rae. I've been a preschool teacher for 7 years, then in early 2025, I became a full-time nanny! I've been the lead teacher in rooms with children 6 weeks old, all the way up to 6 years, and have worked professionally with children as young as 4 weeks. I started in professional childcare in the year after my own child was born. I was amazed by everything that was happening, so I started ECE coursework and substitute elementary teaching. Then in 2018 I started working in licensed preschools with young children. In my spare time I like to read, cook, paint, play rpg video games, grow plants (indoors and outside), go camping, and play percussion instruments.. One thing you should know about me is I have lots of experience working with infants in particular, plus children with special needs. I enjoy being with pre-verbal and non-verbal children, and I use lots of sign language when it helps.

Rae worked for me as a part-time nanny for my 7 month old. She was with me for 3 months. She was patient, engaging and caring. My daughter loved spending time with her. Rae worked with her on Spanish and ASL and did a good job of incorporating the languages in the day-to-day activities and finding new and creative ways to help her learn. She always kept me informed of any concerns that arose with my daughter and recommended toys/books that could support my daughter's development. She helped with food prep and was a big support at my daughter's doctor's appointments. She took the time to learn my daughter's physical therapy exercises so she could work with her on them during the day. You will see very quickly how much Rae loves children and how well she cares for them.
