About Derreka

I'd describe my personality as having patience, being creative and responsible. I like working with kids because children often bring a sense of playfulness and energy, creating a lively and positive environment that can be incredibly rewarding. Being an older sister of 5 other siblings it has definitely been a rewarding. Also, interacting with children can teach patience, creativity, and problem-solving skills, contributing to personal development and enriching one's own life experiences. I started working with kids when I was 15 years old in Miami Florida. I volunteered at my church for vacation bible school. Then transitioned to working at YMCA. In my spare time, I like work out, do homework, and pamper myself. One thing you should know about me is I am a positive person all around. I enjoy a positive environment and I believe I am the sweetest person you'll meet. My skills include safety and first aid, nurturing and emotional support, activity planning and engagement.
