About Denise

I work privately as an LPN at an elementary school during the school year and this will be the first summer I'm off in many years. I have a4-year-old daughter that will be attending camp Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. so ideally I would like to find a job on those days from about 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Before becoming a nurse, I was a nursing assistant at a nursing home for a long time and worked as a DSP as well as a substitute teacher for Boces (just to name some of my professional experiences). I have a background in art and psychology/humanities and dance. I have 8+ years experience working with developmentally disabled children and adults. I also have training in expressive and movement therapy. I love to do all kinds of crafts, outdoor activities, cooking, reading & I have a great appreciation for music. I enjoy working with every age group from children to adults and seniors and am an animal lover & have 2 dogs of my own. Also, I speak fluent Russ
