Experience: 25 yrs
I have worked in caregiving for 25 years, and I have experience with all kinds of health issues. I have experience with showering, dressing, light housekeeping, laundry, cooking, doctor appointments, grocery shopping, errands etc. I love spending time with people and hearing their stories and experiences. This work has been my calling, to care for the others. I am trained in CPR. I have experience with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Dementia, cancer, surgical patients etc. This is just an idea of the kinds of patients that I have cared for. I am an empty nester so I don't have small children to consider. Gait belt training for transfers. Thank you for your consideration.
Denice was an exceptional caregiver for my mother, who is living with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. She consistently provided compassionate, patient, and attentive care while treating my mother with dignity and respect. Denice handled every aspect of the position with excellence. She helped maintain my mother’s daily routine, prepared meals, provided medication reminders, assisted with personal-care needs, and kept our family informed about any changes or concerns. She was dependable, communicated clearly, and created a safe and reassuring environment. What distinguished Denice was the genuine personal connection she developed with my mother. She took the time to understand her interests and encouraged her to remain engaged through gardening, writing short stories, attending church activities, taking walks, and enjoying meaningful conversation. Denice knew when to offer assistance and when to allow my mother to retain her independence. She also responded to confusion or anxiety with patience, kindness, and calm redirection. Entrusting someone with the care of a parent is an important and deeply personal decision. Denice earned our trust through her professionalism, consistency, and sincere concern for my mother’s well-being. She exceeded our expectations, and I recommend her without reservation to any family seeking a reliable, compassionate, and highly capable caregiver.
