About Dena

Hello! I have been tutoring for many years. I work with both special needs children and a regular or honors classroom curriculum. My belief on tutoring is the most important thing you can do I make it fun and relatable, so the child gets most out of it as possible. I actively work on skills such as reading, science, social studies or history, basic math, or a class they just need to get their feet back in, such as a fine art. I personally take the teacher's curriculum, and then make small, attainable goals for your student, to keep them from feeling overwhelmed. We work hard to catch them up to grade level and hopefully a bit more. I will work with any child who after getting grade level, wants the continuous help of staying that way or getting ahead. Reading is my passion in life, and I try to share the enthusiasm with everyone who I teach. I work with pre k to seniors in high school, depending on the subject. I hope we have a chance to talk and get to know each other!
