I am married and a mother of 3 children ages 19, 21 and 25. I have 17 years experience , including as an LPN, a Patient Care Assistant, Companion to seniors and an EMT. I have worked for 5 years in an Assisted Living, Respite Care, Nursing Home and Dementia Units. I have taken care of the elderly with all different diagnosis. I also worked as a Companion taking care of an elderly dementia patient and a Parkinson patient. I assisted with bathing, dressing, meal prep, medications, laundry and light housekeeping. I also took her to run errands and to appointments. We would go on walks to the beach or to the park, sit and watch movies, or just sit around and talk. It is a very rewarding job for me, I treat them with the utmost care and respect. I treat them as if they are family.
