About Denae

I'm looking for a job that allows me to get outside and allows for my 4-year-old to tag along on days that he's not at school or with his dad. I started working with kids when I was 12. I have worked with children off and on over the years in public school settings, private tutoring, theatre, forest pre-school, babysitting and nannying. I have experience working with boys and girls. My skills include patience, emotional intelligence support, and imaginative play. One thing you should know about me is I am very patient. I give children lots of space to work through their emotions and I try not to ask too many questions. I prefer to be mostly hands off when it comes to them working out a "problem". I assist in ways that I think will be helpful, yet encourage their own sense of self-achievement. I want to work with you, as a parent, so that you feel you are parenting your child through me, in a sense. I will love them as if they are my own.
