About Demi

Demi has an incredible gift with children. Her energy is infectious, she's playful and enthusiastic, and she is patient while being firm. She is also wise beyond her years and incredibly well educated on children. She filled in for us when our nanny wasn't available and I cannot express how impressed I was. I find that in looking for a nanny I always wonder how someone could treat and love my kids as well as I do and in 3 days I felt that she genuinely loved and cared for them. She is a wonderful person and so easy to refer. We've had multiple large transitions in our life recently which have been really hard on my 4 year old daughter. As a result she's acting out and testing boundaries (which she'd probably do anyway at 4 but it's extra given the circumstances). It was a hard situation to come into, especially short term, but Demi was not phased at all. Her education and years of experience with kids allow her to understand the psychology and biology impacting kids' emotions and approach them with such kindness and empathy. Combine that with her enthusiasm and you have the perfect nanny or tutor. She was equally engaged with our 15 month old son which really stood out to me. She read to him, talked to him, taught him things, and treated him with so much love. We've had babysitters before who weren't half as engaging with our son because of his age. Demi showed both of them equal love and engagement. Demi was a God send for us and I'm so thankful we met her. If you are looking for a nanny, an occasional babysitter or a tutor who will make learning fun, you've found her.
