About Delaney

Delaney jumped right in with confidence in caring for a one year old and a five year old with Down syndrome and type one diabetes. I gave her a schedule and she followed it with no problems. If there was down time Delaney cleaned the kitchen after the kids ate. And put any dirty clothes or dish towels in the laundry room. She was flexible and willing to change schedules when needed. Delaney likes to be coached if you want her to do anything different. She actively engaged with the kids as well as calmed them when it was time. They loved reading with her in a nook with flashlights. She played with a water hose and baby pool and loved to teach them to blow bubbles under water when it was hot out. Delaney was the only person who could get the five year old to rest. We went to a the public pool and she was great with the kids since she had been a life guard. We also took the kids to an outdoor family friendly concert and Delaney had the kids dancing, playing with other kids and watching the music being played. She helped pack the bags and we had everything that was needed. Delaney is a natural with kids, is ready to learn routines, and any specifics you like. She will follow the schedule you would like and any specifics regarding medication for teething, fevers, etc. Delaney is timely, energetic, flexible and calm and comforting with anything that happens with the kids. Like skinning a knee, teething, knowing when they need quiet time, and more. I highly recommend Delaney.
