About Deirdre

I started working with kids when I was 12, volunteering at my local church's preschool, that's how I knew I wanted to work with children. It transitioned to occasional babysitting and nannying in high school and college, but now I specialize with autistic children and teens as a RBT at schools and homes. I'm now grateful to be pursuing this in my master's! My skills include neurodivergent care, emotional regulation, positive behavior support. In my spare time, I am either on-stage performing in a local musical production or singing around town in open mics! When off-stage you can find me in the ocean singing to the seals on my paddle board. I'd describe my personality as bubbly, adventurous, and whimsical! One thing you should know about me is I am here for the kids and for you. I am in your home and willing to help as needed! I thrive with schedules, routines, structure, accommodations, but kids are spontaneous, things happen! I am here to help :)
