About Deena

I most recently spent 8 years as an infant teacher at a Montessori school and have babysat for many of those families over the years. Prior to that, I had several short and long-term gigs babysitting for families with kids from infant through school age and spent a couple years working mostly with infants and toddlers in various child care centers around the Twin Cities. I am fairly quiet, yet warm and patient with children. I love to laugh and, often times, find humor useful in keeping kids engaged and preventing meltdowns. Art projects, imaginative play games, reading stories and going for walks are typical activities I have enjoyed with kids. I'm familiar with the basic responsibilities associated with caring for young kids: diapering, feeding and meal prep, baths, naps and bedtime, etc. I'm open to doing light housework, taking kids on outings, feeding or letting out pets and running errands.
