About Dee

I take care of my mother in law who is paralyzed on the whole left side of her body due to a stroke. I have been helping her for about 10 years now. I take her shopping with her wheel chair which we both love to do. I also help her to the bathroom she needs assistance with her clothes since she has no use of her left arm or leg. I do housework around the home and also do some laundry. I cook for her the days I am with her or we go out to eat. She also has a dog that I walk and care for. I enjoy sitting and talking with her or just watching a movie together. I feel I am a compassionate person who loves to be around the elderly, babies and pets. I am a mother of 3. 2 of my children are away at college so I have some free time to myself to work. I also help out with a women who also had a stroke but she cannot speak and is paralyzed on the right side of her body. I sat with her through her therapy sessions and learned how to help her communicate with an I pad and how to do a few exercise.
