About Dee

I'd describe my personality as creative, funny and relaxed. I love being with kids bc I see these things in them: open and unfiltered. I love talking to them, hearing their views, and creating a connection. It is important to me for parents to trust and not worry when they need to be somewhere else. I want the kids to feel the same: safe, relaxed, and happy. I understand I'm caring for the most valued thing in your world. As a mom of 5 and 2 grands (who spend 3 plus weeks with me each summer), and as a former teacher for 13 years, I bring strong experience, patience and care. I like to do things they enjoy, like games, baking, crafts, chalk, playgrounds and nature walks. I like bringing a bag with a few activies and books just to have something new for them to see and do. I'm good with homework help; My advanced math skills are rusty, but I've got the basics! I'm a big reader, and have a plethora of kids books; I enjoy sharing these with the kids and reading to and with them.
