About Deborah

First of all, I love children. I have been working with children for 23 years. I really enjoy taking care of babies as well as toddlers and preschoolers. I am 59 years old and have a Child Development degree from UNC-Greensboro. After college, I worked as a nanny for a newborn for a year. My next job was teaching a classroom of 30 3-year-olds with 2 assistants for the childcare center at Moses Cone Hospital for 5 years. After both of my children were born, I went back to work teaching preschool. During that time, I took care of infants all the way up to 6-year-olds. Since 2018, I have been a nanny for three different families! I do have my own car and a safe driving record as well. Both of my children are grown and out on their own now so I can be very flexible with my time if necessary. Watching children grow and develop physically, emotionally and socially is truly what makes me happy !! I can't imagine doing anything else !!
