I have been a nurse for 33 yrs. Started in long term care, geriatrics(my passion). Ventured into visiting nurse, hospital nursing , sub acute and brief visit in hospice. I am nearing my retirement years and realized I need to work but doing something I love and that is geriatrics. I was asked to care for a woman almost 9 yrs ago.. she was 98 and still lived in her home. I loved being part of the team that made it possible for her to remain home feeling safe and comfortable until she was 101! I have since cared for several others throughout cape cod area. My experience includes Alzheimer , frontal lobe dementia, Parkinson's, aphasia , aspiration risk, diabetes , surgical post op to mention a few. Skilled in medication management, foley care, tube feeding, Adl's, assessment/monitoring skills. Light housekeeping, errands, medical visits. Non smoker, covid vaccinated and pet friendly.
