About Deanna

I recently graduated summa cum laude with my bachelor's in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and a minor in biology. I aspire to serve in the Peace Corps where I can help make a difference in the world by sharing my knowledge and love for the sciences. Currently, I am employed as an educator and split my time between teaching K-12 formal classroom lessons and informal after-school events and programs. I have years of experience working with kids of all ages in every setting imaginable! Besides my current job, I have also worked as a summer camp counselor, tutor, after-school program advisor, babysitter, and nanny. I am just as comfortable working with kids one-on-one as I am leading groups of 20+ on adventures! I have fingerprint clearance in Arizona, Nevada, and Florida as well as Red Cross certifications in CPR, first aid, and lifeguarding. References available upon request.
