Welcome to my profile! I love to spend time with children, sharing library books and doing activities that interest them. As your child care provider, I like to include outside play and walks. Indoor activities can be reading, imaginary play, art and any other activity they choose. My focus is always on interacting with the children in my care but meal prep, pick up/drop off and emptying the dishwasher can be added to my services. The experience I bring comes from many places. While my children were young, I ran a daycare service for six years then volunteered as a coordinator for enrichment programs at their schools. Once retired from a human resources position, I became a volunteer as Site Coordinator for a program called Start Making a Reader Today (SMART). We had never left our 1 and 2 year old with a babysitter but needed help as we were moving. I was very nervous but Deanna was a dream. She instantly made my 2 year feel at ease and she has the maturity and insight that a mother or teacher would have in caring for the children which is not something that is there with someone who would have been younger and is there to just "watch" the kids. My daughter really needed to feel comforted and Deanna did just that. She arrived with toys and great ideas and suggestions. I highly recommend Deanna for anyone who is nervous about leaving their children with a new person.
